ARTICLE 96: MOTORCYCLE DRIVING LICENSES

1. Driving a moped requires a driver's license, which is granted according to the provisions, to those who have reached the age of 16. By joint decision of the Ministers of Transport and Communications and Public Order, the competent local Police Authorities for the issuance of driver's licenses for two-wheeled or three-wheeled vehicles with an auxiliary engine (mopeds), the method of examining candidates for the acquisition of this license, the issuing procedure, as and the type of these licenses.

2. Whoever drives a moped without having the appropriate driving license or when it has been revoked or removed, is punished with imprisonment of one (1) to three (3) months and with a fine of at least two hundred (200.00) euros.
