ARTICLE 87: GENERAL INVENTORY AND CLASSIFICATION OF VEHICLES

1. No motor vehicle or trailer is allowed to circulate anywhere in the country, unless it has been registered and classified according to the general registration and classification of vehicles prescribed from time to time.

2. The manner and procedure for carrying out these general inventories and classifications are determined, for motor vehicles and their trailers, as well as three-wheeled vehicles and motorcycles, by a decision of the Minister of Transport and Communications, for construction machinery and including trailers by decision of the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Public Works and for agricultural machinery and trailers by decision of the Minister of Agriculture.

3. Whoever drives a motor vehicle, which has not been legally registered and registered, is punished with an administrative fine of four hundred (400.00) euros and with the withdrawal of the vehicle's registration license until it is registered in accordance with the conditions and procedure of article 103 of this Code. The special provisions of Law 3446/2006 apply to the relevant violation concerning trucks. The provisions of Article 46 of this Code may also be applied in this case.
